The first trip after the move

We moved in January. We were still finding boxes in February when we decided to drive out to the coast for a weekend, mostly to remind ourselves that we still knew how to leave the house.

We learned three things. One: the new car is much better than the old car for long drives, which we already knew but had not yet felt in the body. Two: we are both worse at packing than we were two years ago, and we should keep a small bag pre-packed for trips under three days. Three: the ocean still works.

We came home tired in the right way. Started unpacking the last of the boxes on Monday.
